Sign up sheets are available in the back of the hall for individuals to volunteer to serve in our congregation. These sign up sheets are for the Houston North only – sign up sheets for Huntsville are available in Huntsville. If you would like to serve your brethren in Houston North, then please sign up for one of the many service opportunities. Please sign up no later than August 19 if you would like to serve.

The Ladies Luncheon will be held on the first Tuesday of the month (August 1). We will meet at Luby’s on Highway 105 starting at 11:30 am. Hopefully everyone will make an extra effort to attend as we have a lot to catch up on.

There will be a combined family activity sponsored by the Houston North and  South congregations on August 20 at Schlitterbahn in Galveston. The event will take place from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. We will reserve an area so our group can have their ice chests and other supplies together. No glass or alcohol is allowed. No tubes or personal floats can be brought in – there are plenty available for your use inside the park. Our group rates are as follows:
Children (age 3 - 11): $24.03 (includes tax)
Adult (age 12 and over): $28.79 (includes tax)
There is a sign up sheet at the Information Table today. Additional information will be made available in the near future.

Volleyball season is fast approaching and we would like to be organized before the season starts. There is a sign up sheet at the Information Table for adults who are interested in playing and another sign up sheet for anyone interested in coaching adult or teen volleyball (please indicate which you would prefer coaching on the list). A sign up sheet for teen volleyball will be made available shortly. If you have any questions please contact Andy or Elisa Hees.

After a long and tedious process of research, eMail Q&A sessions, and Media Literacy Class attendance, the Beyond Today Program will begin airing through the local public cable-access company Houston MediaSource. The program will air on Time Warner (channel 17 WTP-TV) and in Kingwood on Cebridge (channel 98 WTP-TV) with the following schedule:
Sunday, August 6 ………. 3:00 pm ………….“The Next Superpower”
Tuesday, August 8 ………. 9:00 pm ………….“Where Have All the Fathers Gone?”
Sunday, August 13 ………. 3:00 pm ………….“Poor In Spirit”

The Silver Ambassadors will be hosting a day at the Huston Museum of Natural Sience’s IMAX theater on Sunday, July 23. Three IMAX features will be viewed: Mystery of the Nile, The Human Body, and Ocean Oasis. If you are interested in attending, please sign the list at the Information Table. Additional information will be provided next Sabbath. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Treybig.

If you are planning to attend the Bend/Redmond Feast site and are still wanting
or needing a condo at Eagle Crest Resort please let your Festival Adviser know as soon as possible. Eagle Crest Resort double-booked the first two nights of the Feast which prevented them from making available the normal amount of condos to the Church.
