Clarajane Reynolds and David Good are pleased to announce their recent marriage, in a remote section of Alaska, on Wednesday, September 26. They were wed at the base of the Knik Glacier against the beautiful Alaskan mountains. David and CJ are both very excited and look forward to seeing everyone upon their return to Houston next Sabbath.

Our first volleyball tournament is October 27-28 in Houston, and again, we want to express our appreciation to those who open their homes to the out-of-towners. It is time to update our picture for the teen cards that go out to the congregation as a part of our service efforts. We have lots of fresh faces in the teen program, and several more mature ones that have moved on, so October 27 will be official picture day. We will meet at the stage immediately after services, so we can wrap this up quickly.
Applications for the Challenger II Rock Climbing Program for young adults (ages 18 - 30) are now available. Young Adults serious about their spiritual growth and personal leadership qualities, who are up for a challenge both physically and spiritually, are invited to apply. This is a small-group, mentor-driven, adventure-based leadership program that will take place on the slopes of Mt. Lemmon in southern Arizona, from December 23 - 30, 2007. More information and applications are available online at the Church web site, at www.ucg.org/challenger. Application deadline is November 1; remember to get your application in early!
Each head of household who did not receive a personal green song book at the feast may sign the list at the Information Table. Books will be ordered shortly.
Now that we are all back from an inspiring fall feast, it’s time once again to make your reservations for what is shaping up to be another incredible Winter Family Weekend Event in Louisville, Kentucky. This year promises to be the most exciting ever.
